Thomas J. McGarry, D.D.S.
Clinical Director

Dr. McGarry received his D.D.S. degree in 1975 from UMKC School of Dentistry, his Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1978 from UCSF/VA San Francisco and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1991.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists and has served as President of the College. He is chair of the Prosthodontic classification System Subcommittee and the Parameters of Care Subcommittee. He was the founder of the Oklahoma Section of the ACP as well as founder of the Oklahoma Society of Prosthodontists.

Memberships in additional organizations include the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, Academy of Prosthodontics and the American College of Dentists. Dr. McGarry has been a life-long member of the ADA and was a member of the Future of Dentistry Oversight Committee.

Dr. McGarry has held full and part-time faculty appointments at both the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels at the University of Missouri School of Dentistry, University of California School of Dentistry, and the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry. Additional teaching activities include Consultant to St. Anthony’s Hospital General Practice Residency and Preceptor for the University of Oklahoma Dental School.

Dr. McGarry maintains a full-time private practice limited to Prosthodontics.

Gretchen McGarry, B.S.N.
Director

In 1975, Gretchen McGarry received the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Prior to becoming a Clinical Instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma, she was in active practice in pediatric nursing in Kansas City, San Francisco and Oklahoma City.

Gretchen’s responsibilities for curriculum development, design of presentation materials and editing of lectures for domestic and international implant course participants preceded her work as Program Director for MII. A public advocate for dental education, Gretchen was the Chairperson of the state-of-the art dental exhibit at the Omniplex Science and Art Museum of Oklahoma City.

Lars O'Bouma, D.D.S.

Dr. Bouma was born in Texas and completed most of his education in the Lone Star State. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1994 and continued his training with a GPR program at the VA hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1995 he joined the U. S. Air Force as a general dentist. Within a short time, Dr. Bouma was accepted into the Prosthodontic Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base. In 2000 he graduated and received his certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

After graduation, he relocated to Omaha, Nebraska and was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. While there, Dr. Bouma served as Chief of Prosthodontics, Dental Laboratory Flight Commander, and Assistant Director for the AEGD Residency. After serving his country for eleven years, he separated from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel and joined Implant & Prosthodontic Associates August 1, 2006.

Dr. Bouma is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He has published in several journals and has lectured nationally on multiple facets of prosthodontics.

David A. Felton, D.D.S., M.S., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Felton completed his D.D.S. (1977) and M.S. (1984-Prosthodontics) degrees at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC. He served as Director of Graduate Prosthodontics from 1989-1992, and as Chair of Prosthodontics from 1992-2002. He is a Past-President of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics. He is a member of multiple dental organizations and has published over 40 journal articles and 120 abstracts.

Dr. Felton is currently on faculty at UNC in the graduate department.

Jon M. Finley, D.D.S.

Dr. Finley received his dental degree from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, and his Certificate of Prosthodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry. He is a worldwide lecturer and author in the field of dental implantology. Dr. Finley is a Fellow in the Academy of Osseointegration, Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, member of the American College of Prosthodontics, member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and is on the Kansas State Board of Specialty Examiners.

Dr. Finley maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Prairie Village, KS.

Hunter Stuart, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Stuart received his D.D.S. degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1974, his Certificate and Master of Science in Prosthodontics from UT Houston, Oral-Craniofacial Fellowship from UT Health Science Center and his certification in parenteral conscious sedation from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Dr. Stuart maintains a part time private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Fort Worth, TX and provides portable parenteral conscious sedation to the dental community through his company Sedation-On-Call.

Dan O’Donoghue, Ph.D.

Dr. O’Donoghue received his Ph.D. from the Department of Anatomy, Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in 1984. He is a Graduate of Distinction, Physician Assistant Program OU College of Medicine. He is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Family and Preventive Medicine and Cell Biology, OU College of Medicine. He received the Regents Award for Superior Teaching, Department of Cell Biology in both 2005 and 2006.

Dr. O’Donoghue currently teaches human anatomy to OU College of Medicine and College of Dentistry students.
